Editorial Policy

Sourcing

Every figure comes from an official published source — the Canada Revenue Agency or Revenu Québec. We do not take figures from other calculators, aggregators or news reports. Where we cite a secondary source, it is to corroborate an official one, and we say so.

Computation over assertion

Our copy contains no hand-typed figures. Every number on every page is produced by the same calculation engine from the same stored rate data, so our prose cannot drift out of step with our tables. If a rate changes, every affected page changes with it.

Corrections

If we get something wrong we fix it promptly and record what changed on our methodology page. Report errors to support@inventum.com.au.

Advertising

This site carries advertising. Advertisers have no influence over our figures, our rankings of provinces, or anything we publish. Ads are labelled and kept clear of the calculator and results. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored figures, or paid links.

Privacy in our tools

Our calculators run entirely in your browser. Salary figures you enter are never transmitted to us or stored.

We publish general information, not financial, tax or legal advice. We do not know your circumstances. For decisions that matter, check with the CRA, Revenu Québec, or an accountant.
